dsh Design specialises in practical, affordable websites and graphic design for small and start-up businesses across New Zealand. Most projects are quoted individually after a quick chat about what you need, so you only pay for the work that actually helps your business. This page explains the standard website package, gives indicative price ranges for other services, and outlines the main factors that influence cost so there are no surprises.

Packages & Pricing

First-year package at $300
A straightforward starter package
The flagship dsh Design package is aimed at small businesses that want a professional online presence without a high ongoing cost or technical hassle.

Standard Website + Hosting + Maintenance package
• Up to 15 website pages
• Designed and built for your business and brand
• First year package price: $300 (NZD)
• Includes website hosting and ongoing maintenance for the first year
• Ecommerce and highly complex custom development are excluded; conditions apply.

After a quick discussion about your goals and content, you will receive a clear quote confirming the exact scope and price before any work starts.
Simple annual invoicing
Key factors that influence your quote
Every project is a little different, so your final quote will depend on a few practical details:

Number of pages and design variations
More pages, different layouts and extra design variations naturally take more time and affect the overall cost.

Complexity and special features
Simple information pages are quick to produce. Features like galleries, forms, maps, bookings or integrations with other systems add to the budget, especially if they require custom development.

Content readiness
If your text and images are already prepared, things stay straightforward. If you need help writing, editing or sourcing images, that work is simply added to the quote.

Timing and deadlines
Most projects can be scheduled at standard rates. Very urgent or out-of-hours work may be quoted differently if it impacts other commitments.

All of this is discussed up front so you understand how the quote has been put together before you decide to proceed.
Money questions, answered simply
Do you require a deposit?
For most new projects, yes. A deposit is usually paid before design work starts, with the balance due when your website or design files are ready to go live or to print.

How are payments structured?
The exact structure depends on the size of the project, but it is always agreed in writing with your quote. Smaller jobs are often a single payment; larger projects may be split into two or more stages.

What happens after the first year of the website package?
After the first year, hosting, domain and maintenance are invoiced annually at an agreed rate. You will be reminded in advance, and there is no automatic lock-in beyond what you choose to renew.

Can I make changes during the year?
Yes. Reasonable content updates and maintenance tweaks are included. If you ever ask for something that falls into a bigger redesign or new functionality, you will receive a separate quote before anything is done.

How are custom quotes prepared?
Quotes are based on your goals, the amount of content, and any special features you need. After a short conversation or email exchange, you will receive a clear, written quote so you can decide in your own time.
Next steps: talk through your project
If you like the look of the standard package or need a mix of web and graphic design, the next step is simply to get in touch. Share a few details about your business, what you already have in place, and what you would like to achieve.

You can contact Ross via the form and details on the Contact page, and you are welcome to browse the Services and Portfolio pages first to see the kind of work dsh Design delivers. From there, you will receive a clear, no-obligation quote tailored to your project.
dsh Design provides affordable web and graphic design for small and start-up businesses. From websites and hosting to brochures, business cards and digital flipping books, everything is kept simple, supported and maintained for you.
